Chelsea have been encouraged to sign Kylian Mbappe in the upcoming transfer window. The 23-year-old was heavily linked with an exit from Paris Saint-German earlier this month amid speculation that he felt betrayed by the club amid a handful of broken promises.

According to Marca, the striker was eager to leave the Parisians in the upcoming transfer window and, despite having looked set to join Real Madrid in the summer, a move to Los Blancos was off the table leaving the door wide open for the likes of Chelsea to swoop in.

But, following PSG's win with over Marseille, Mbappe downplayed reports that he's plotting a departure from Les Parc des Princes. Speaking to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the France international said: "I have never asked for a departure in January. That’s completely false
