 Their Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread following a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday in the first leg of the quarter-final tie, plummeting the confidence of the squad even more as the final weeks of the season approach.


In-form Brighton now travel to Stamford Bridge in a what is a quick turnaround for Chelsea after the trip to Spain, and Roberto De Zerbi’s side will be keen to do the league double over Lampard’s side when they visit the capital.


Prior to their controversial defeat to Spurs, Brighton were unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions – winning five and drawing two – so the Seagulls will want to bounce back and back up the 4-1 thrashing that they inflicted on Chelsea back in October down on the south coast.


The Premier League clash between Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion will kick-off at 3pm (UK) on Saturday 15th April 2023, with the game being played at Stamford Bridge, London.
